What is the Besjaar Shower Head with Filter?
It's a 13 centimetre hand shower with a built-in, replaceable filter. It has ten settings: eight wellness settings and two PowerWash jets. The connection is universal (G½″), so it fits your existing shower hose or arm. You fit it without tools.
The filter: what it does and doesn't do
Inside the shower head is a cartridge that filters the water in eight stages, using calcium sulfite, maifan stone and ceramic balls, among other things. The filter catches some of the limescale and other impurities before the water leaves the head. One thing you'll notice is less limescale in the nozzles.

A filter lasts 3 to 5 months, depending on how often you shower and how hard your water is. Then you replace it with the Besjaar replacement filters.
Ten settings for every moment
- 8 wellness settings: from soft rain to massage and a fine mist.
- 2 PowerWash jets: a powerful spray for rinsing the bath or shower tray, or for thick hair and washing pets.
High pressure, even at low water pressure
The shower head mixes air into the water. This makes the spray feel fuller and more powerful, even if the water pressure at home is on the low side. Pause button: stop the spray while you lather up
With the pause button you stop the spray while you soap up or wash your hair. Press again and the water comes back at the same temperature. That way no hot water runs away unused.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Besjaar Shower Head with Filter fit my hose?
Yes, if your hose has a standard G½″ connection. In the Netherlands that's almost always the case. You screw the head on hand-tight, without tools.
How often should I replace the filter?
Every 3 to 5 months. If you notice the pressure dropping slightly or the limescale coming back, it's time for a new filter.
Does the filter make my water soft?
Not fully. The filter catches some of the limescale and impurities, but it isn't a water softener. For really hard water throughout your home, a central softener is the thorough solution.
