What Besjaar stands for
Besjaar started as a web shop with a broad range. Today we focus on one thing: a better shower every day. That means a spray that feels full, lower water use and less trouble with limescale. Dutch tap water is of top quality, but in parts of the country it is fairly hard. You see that in limescale in your shower head and on your shower screen. That is what we make products for, and what we write honestly about in the Besjaar Guide.
What does Besjaar make?
The Besjaar range consists of four shower heads and a refill set of filters:
- Besjaar Luxury Hand Shower: 3 settings, no more than 8 litres per minute, chrome.
- Besjaar Rain Shower with Hose: the same hand shower, with a 1.5 metre hose.
- Besjaar Shower Head with Filter: 10 settings, a built-in 8-stage filter and a pause button.
- Besjaar Shower Head with Hose and Filter: the filtered shower head as a complete set with hose.
- Besjaar Replacement Filters: two filter cartridges for the filtered shower head.
All Besjaar shower heads have silicone nozzles, which you rub limescale off with a finger, and fit a standard shower hose. Not sure which one suits you? Read which Besjaar shower head suits you? or view all Besjaar shower heads.
Honest about what a filter does
Besjaar doesn't promise miracles. A shower filter holds back loose particles and breaks down free chlorine, but it doesn't remove dissolved limescale and it isn't a medical product. You'll find that in our guides, such as shower filter: worth it or not? and hard water and dry skin.
